Pilots who use ForeFlight, but prefer the look and feel of Jeppessen charts are getting their wish. After the companies announced they would be working together last May, Jepp charts are now available on ForeFlight. As of Wednesday, ForeFlight users have access to Jepp departure, arrival, and terminal procedures, airport charts, and Jeppesen Airway Manuals. In addition, Jeppesen’s NavData, which provides aeronautical information, now comes as part of every ForeFlight plan.

The charts, however, are not part of a standard ForeFlight subscription. There are a couple of ways to get the Jeppessen upgrade. For those who already have a Jeppessen subscription, it can be linked in through the ForeFlight app at no additional charge. For those without a Jepp subscription, they can login to their account on the ForeFlight website, select the ’Add Jeppessen Charts’ option, and purchase a yearly subscription to the global areas to their choice.

Cost for one year for the continental US and Hawii is $199. Jepp enroute charts will soon be available as well.
