Stranded Cessna 150 Tries To Take Off From A Sandbar and There’s No Possible Way He Makes It! Unless . . .

Key Takeaways:

  • A Cessna 150 pilot ran out of fuel and was forced to land on a sandbar.
  • A friend delivered fuel to the plane via helicopter.
  • The pilot remained calm and unconcerned despite the dangerous situation.
  • The pilot successfully took off from the sandbar, despite the rising tide.

Before you read a word of this or the newspaper story we found this in, please watch the video, which shows a Cessna 150 trapped on a sandbar with the rising tide as the pilot attempts to take off from said sandbar, on which he was forced to land after running out of gas. He’ll never make it. There’s no way he’ll ever make it. Oh the humanity!

Three things we like. We learn that the 150 got its gas delivered by a helicopter, owned by a friend who was happy to do the favor. And, the pilot of the 150 seems blissfully unconcerned about having run out of fuel. And he seems like such a nice guy! How is that all possible! But somehow, it is. The guy, of course, makes it off the sandbar. But every time we watch this video we are totally convinced he won’t!

Enjoy it here!
