Garmin InReach Mini
Garmin’s new InReach Mini provides remote satellite connectivity in an easy-to-use and lightweight device. The 3.5-ounce Mini features two-way texting through the Iridium satellite network, along with 24/7 SOS capabilities. The Mini can pair with Garmin wearables to send and receive messages, and it can also link to the Garmin Pilot app to share flight tracking data. For easier texting, the Mini can be connected with a user’s phone contact list so that a friend or family member can be reached with just a few taps. Users can also receive weather forecasts on the Mini if they choose, and there are both basic and premium packages available for such data. The Mini sells for $349.99, and subscription plans start at $11.95 per month.
