TruTrak Expands Vizion STC Again

TruTrak has once again expanded the Approved Model List (AML) for its 2-axis Vizion autopilot. In addition to the Cessna 172 F through S models and all 177 models, the affordable autopilot is now available for the 175 and Piper PA-28 and PA-32. This is the second time that models have been added to the AML since EAA subsidiary EAA STC, LLC began selling Vizion STCs a little less than six months ago.

The unit itself costs $5,000. According to TruTrak, the average install time runs about 18 hours. The Vizion is available in three models—standard, 3-inch, and flat pack—to provide options for a variety of panel configurations. The STC is available through EAA STC, LLC. Cost for members is $100. The Vizion is can connect with both handheld and panel-mounted GPS units. Though not yet authorized, TruTrak says the system is capable of performing coupled instrument approaches.

TruTrak’s online signup form for interested owners of other types of aircraft is still open. The company says it will continue to to gauge interest and help them decide where to take the autopilot next.
