Rich Trickel’s addition to the Tri-R Technologies family, the TR-4 Cruiser, is a four-place fixed-gear aircraft that follows the form of the previous KIS models. The Cruiser made its debut at Oshkosh 1994 and was well received as a practical, kitbuilt, family aircraft that was inexpensive to build and operate. The Cruiser can accommodate four full-sized adults, full fuel, carry 66 pounds of baggage, and cruise at 165 mph anywhere within an 800-mile range. Any way you slice it, this is one practical aircraft. The Cruiser requires around 1,500 hours to complete.
