The Sonex is a relatively inexpensive two-seater of all metal construction. It uses a variety of engines from 80 to 120 hp, including the 2180cc Volkswagon, 2200 Jabiru, and 3300 Jabiru. Plans include mods for a tail-wheel or a nose wheel, and kits can be ordered in an “easy build” configuration that includes pre-formed wing ribs, fuse formers, and control surface ribs.
