The fixed-gear 180-hp Tobago and 200-hp Tobago XL are in the middle of the line. Designed as mediumperformance cross-country cruisers, both Tobagos possess a good combination of speed, simplicity, luxury, and efficiency. All Socata aircraft are noted for having extremely spacious and comfortable cabins, and the attention to ergonomic design is well thought out. Access to the cockpit is gained through two gull-wing doors on either side of the fuselage. Both aircraft perform reasonably well in and out of short-field situations.
