George Meyers’ “Little Toot” has long been one of the nation’s most popular homebuilt sport biplanes. It is constructed with a sheet-metal-covered steel-tube cockpit section and monocoque sheet-metal rear fuselage. The Little Toot uses two-spar wooden wings covered with fabric. The original was fitted with a Continental 90-hp engine, but the airplane is capable of housing engines up to 200 hp. The Little Toot has an eight-degree sweepback on the upper wing. The straight lower wing carries wide, almost full-span ailerons that give the ship an unusually high roll rate. A fiberglass engine cowling is available. Plans are marketed by Tommy Meyers.
