FreeFlight’s certified ADS-B RANGR systems are now fully compatible with the ForeFlight Mobile app version 7.1 that was recently released. With the software update, users can now view ADS-B In weather and traffic data from FreeFlight Systems’ RANGR series of ADS-B receivers via the ForeFlight Mobile app. Compatible solutions include the RANGR Blue Box Receiver and Transceiver, and the RANGR Lite Transceiver, which will begin shipping this month.
ADS-B In provides increased situational awareness, subscription-free graphical and textual weather, and traffic information. Only when it’s paired with a certified and installed ADS-B Out system does the ADS-B In data become complete.

Current ForeFlight users simply need to update to version 7.1 or later in the Apple App Store to gain the capability to integrate with FreeFlight RANGR ADS-B transceivers and receivers.
