The Supervan 900 conversion puts a 900 hp Honeywell TPE331-12JR engine in theCaravan along with a few other modifications. The new Hartzell prop is 110 inches in diameter and weighs 60 pounds less than the propeller it replaces. According to Texas Turbine, the combination gives the plane a significant performance boost while increasing engine TBO considerably. The company says that the Supervan 900 conversion will decrease takeoff distance by about 40-50% depending on altitudes and conditions and reduce fuel flow by 3-5 gals/hr compared to a stock Caravan.
