The EOS SFA is a single-seater with retractable gear and a tractor-thrust configuration. The fuselage is built from lightweight alloy pop-riveted and epoxy-resin bonded with a fiberglass engine cowling. It is not intended to be the simplest aircraft to build but rather to provide a mix between maximum design efficiency and minimum construction complexity. No compound forming is necessary. There’s a castering nose gear, and the tricycle landing gear are manually retracted. Steering is via rudder and differential braking. The 1,834cc VW drives a 50-inch diameter ground-adjustable wooden propeller with three blades.
