The LA Bull-Pup, produced by the Buhl Aircraft Company in 1930, was powered by a 45-hp A.H.C. (Szekely) SR-3 three-cylinder radial engine. The wirebraced wooden wing is fabric covered and has two spars. The fuselage is an oval metal monocoque. The wing is supported by a turnover pylon mounted in front of the single-seat cockpit. Some Bull-Pup owners have modified their planes with 65-hp Continental engines that help performance considerably.
