We all know the name of the first man to walk on the moon!that Armstrong guy, right, but what about the last? While you’ll recognize the name, most people can’t come up with it themselves. You surely know that only a handful of people have walked on the moon, but do you know how many? The answer is 12! And the last one was . . .
Gene Cernan, that’s who. Now a new documentary entitled The Last Man on the Moon, gives us a close-up look at Commnader Cernan, the last man to step foot on the moon, or as pro-space travel types might say, the “most recent one” to do so.
The documentary, which comes out today (February 26, 2016), is a gripping 90-minute compilation of archival footage and interviews with astronauts, NASA crewmembers, and Cernan and his family. The movie explores not only Cernan’s time spent on space missions, but the time in between as well, bringing an entirely new perspective to viewers regarding the life of a very special astronaut, one, by the way, who still regularly gets around in his pretty Cessna 421 Golden Eagle.
