John Dyke wanted a high-speed airplane with folding wings that would be compact enough to tow home for garage storage-thus the unique delta design. The basic fuselage skeleton, vertical stabilizer, and wing spars are of welded steel tube. The wings have an all metal frame and have been tried with either fiberglass or aluminum covering.
