The Luton Major was first flown in 1939. This twoseat high-wing monoplane features an airframe that is similar to the Luton Minor. Its wings are vee-bracing struts and fold back along the fuselage for towing. The fuselage is an all wood structure covered with plywood. Power is provided by a 55- to 65-hp Lycoming or 65- to 85-hp Continental.
