Piper Aircraft and Airline Transport Professionals reached an agreement for the sale of as many as 30 Piper Seminoles with a total retail value of $18 million. In addition to a firm 10-aircraft fleet order, ATP has an option for 20 additional Seminole aircraft for delivery in 2013 and 2014. All of the new airplanes will be equipped with Garmin G500 glass-cockpit avionics suites. Flight Design selected the Continental Motors IO-360-AF as the engine for the company's four-seat C4 aircraft that's currently under development. The new 6-cylinder engine will be able to operate on 100LL avgas, as well as alternative fuels.
