EMBRAER ERJ-135/140/145

Embraer's regional airliners have become some of the world's most popular short haulers. Drastically redesigned from its popular Brasilia, the ERJ-145 first went into service in 1996. The model's success spawned instant variants, including the shorter ERJ-135 and ERJ-140 which were flying a year and a half later. Upgraded versions of each model have followed. The ERJ-145LR came in 1998 and the XR came in 2002, both with larger and more efficient engines, an increased takeoff weight and more fuel capacity for extended range. The ERJ-135 has also translated into Embraer's Legacy corporate jet.
